Administración de perfiles con Firefox/Iceweasel

Hoy he aprendido a usar los perfiles de Firefox/Iceweasel, el asunto es muy sencillo, solo basta con conocer un parámetro para ejecutar Firefox/Iceweasel.

iceweasel -ProfileManager

Eso es todo!

Esto se debe ejecutar con el Firefox/Iceweasel cerrado, y abrirá una ventana de como esta

Aquí se pueden crear, borrar y renombrar perfiles, es muy útil, especialmente cuando tienes la manía de dejar pestaña y pestañas abiertas para leer en otro momento, se puede crear un perfil limpio, y así si hay prisa puedes abrir un firefox/iceweasel sin ninguna pestaña pero conservando en el otro perfil lo que quieres leer mas adelante.

Importate! Permitir que te pregunte en cada inicio con cual perfil quieres trabajar.

Gracias ha esto he aprendido que firefox/iceweasel tiene otros parámetros utiles como -safe-mode, que permite ejecutar el navegador sin ningun tipo de plugin, de forma que si por algún motivo un plugin impide el inicio normal del navegador, se puede ejecutar el navegador, desactivar el plugin y reiniciar normalmente.

-h or -help        Print this message.
-width <value>        Set width of startup window to <value>.
-v or -version        Print Iceweasel version.
-P <profile>        Start with <profile>.
-ProfileManager        Start with ProfileManager.
-no-remote        Open new instance, not a new window in running instance.
-UILocale <locale>        Start with <locale> resources as UI Locale.
-safe-mode        Disables extensions and themes for this session.
-jsconsole           Open the Error console.
